Songas Earns Brainerd JDRL Shootout Trophy

Evan Songas was the last racer standing during the Summit Racing JDRL Shootout at the NHRA Brainerd Nationals at Brainerd Int’l Raceway.

In the final, Songas, near lane, left the starting line first by .016-second, and that ended up being the difference because both Songas and Bodie Carlson ran .058-over the dial. Thanks to his better light, Songas turned on the win light with an 8.038 (7.98 dial) vs. the 8.018 (7.96) of Carlson.
