Racers in the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League will be featured during 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series events. The seven National Shootouts, one in each geographic division, will include eight-car Jr. Dragster fields, and the final round from each shootout will take place on Sunday and be included in the event's national broadcast on FOX and FOX Sports 1. Below is the 2023 National Shootout schedule.

How to qualify for the National Shootout events:
Division 1 NHRA New England Nationals – New England Dragway – June 2-4, 2023
The four category winners from the New England Dragway Lucas Oil event in August 2022 will be invited to compete along with the four top points earners at New England Dragway. If a winner from the Lucas Oil event elects not to go, the invitation will be offered to the runner-up. Any other alternates will be drawn from New England Dragway points.
Division 2 NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals – Bristol Dragway – June 9-11, 2023
Southeast Division Member Tracks will submit their 2022 season champions that are interested in participating, as well as the 2022 Division 2 Lucas Oil Series, National Open Series, and Summit Division champions for a random draw for the 8 spots at Bristol Dragway.
Division 3 NHRA Midwest Nationals - World Wide Technology Raceway – Sept. 29-Oct. 1, 2023
The North Central Division Member Tracks will submit one name for a random drawing for the eight participants. The drawing will be live on the Division 3 Facebook page in August prior to the Mid-West Nationals at World Wide Technology Raceway.
Division 4 Texas NHRA FallNationals – Texas Motorplex – Oct. 12-15, 2023
The eight participants in the shootout will be the four age group champions, Race of Champions winner, and winners of the Saturday Shootouts at the South Central Jr. E.T. Finals at Ardmore Dragway. If alternates are needed, they will be selected based on the following hierarchy: championship runner-up, Race of Champions runner-up, Shootout runner-up.
Division 5 Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals – Bandimere Speedway – July 14-16, 2023
Every participant that attends the Jr. Drag Racing League West Central Division Finals and the NHRA RightTrailers Western Conference Finals on June 23-24 at Bandimere Speedway will be eligible for the 8-car National Shootout at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals. Saturday night after the JDRL Conference Finals portion of the event, during the BBQ and awards ceremony, we will randomly draw one participant (and an alternate) from each of the 8 age groups to participate in the 8-car shootout.
Division 6 Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals – Pacific Raceways – July 21-23, 2023
Each of the 17 Northwest Division Member Tracks will submit one name for a random drawing for the eight participants. The drawing will be live on the Division 6 Facebook page 6-8 weeks before the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals event.
Division 7 In-n-Out Burger NHRA Finals - In-n-Out Pomona Dragstrip – Nov. 9-12, 2023
The eight participants in the shootout will consist of the season champions from the four age groups in the Pacific Division Jr. Championship Series (JCS) and the four age-group champions from the Pacific Division Jr. Finals in Las Vegas. If alternates are needed, they will be selected based on the following hierarchy: Division 7 Race of Champions winners from the Jr. Finals, second place in JCS, Jr. Finals runner-up, Race of Champions runner-up, then next available from JCS.
