Kearney Raceway Park  (June7) – Jr. Dragster racers got a chance at winning a Wally during the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League Challenge sponsored in part by Curly’s Machine Works of Kimball, Neb.

In Saturday night’s Jr. Dragster Super Shootout, Jordan Shuler, of Henderson, Colo., ran a 7.94 on his 7.90 index to turn on the win light against Josie Niskonen ,from Colorado Springs, Colo., who ran an 8.92 on her 8.90 index. Colton Kroeker was the semifinalist.

In Sundays 10-17-year-old Jr. Dragster class the final came down to Paige Lemons, of Raton, N.M., and Triston Vehar, from Cheyenne, Wyo. Lemons got the win in a breakout decision, running an 8.28 on her 8.22 dial to Vehar’s 9.36 on a 9.38 dial. Rayc Meyer was the semifinalist.

Tera Lynn Fletcher was unopposed in the 8-9-year-old Jr. Dragster class final. – Tim Sokoloski
