Heartland Motorsports Park (March 28) – This was the first weekend of points in the K&N Filters Bracket Series and JDRL Series Racing for the Jr. Dragster participants. There were a good number of drivers

on hand to get the season off to a great start.

In the first semi-final Amelia Cochran defeated TJ Ekart, and in the other semifinal matchup was down to Adyson Vogel defeated last year’s Jr. Dragster champion, Conner Frauendorfer.

This set up the final between Cochran, near lane, and Vogel, both of whom made the trip in from Colorado to race this weekend. Vogel had a .02 advantage on the Tree, and that was the determining factor with the win light turning on in Vogel’s lane. Vogel ran 8.14 on her 8.10 dial to Cochran’s 7.94 on her 7.90 dial. – Tim Sokoloski
