The first set of 2017 Jr. Dragster division championships will be handed out this weekend when Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colo., plays host to the West Central Division Jr. Championships event. Kicking off Friday, the event will feature three days of racing, including the championship race on Saturday.

On Friday, gates open at noon with time trials beginning at 2 p.m. Following two time runs, racers will compete in index classes (7.90, 8.90, 11.90) and bracket classes (6-9 and 10-17). Gates open at 8 a.m. Saturday. Time runs begin at 9 a.m., followed by racing for the division championships in five age groups (6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, and 15-17), a Turtle Race, and a 330-foot race. The weekend wraps up with the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League Challenge on Sunday. Gates open at 8 a.m., and time trials begin at 9 a.m.
