Division 4 added Jr. Dragsters to most of its NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events this season. During the first one at Houston Raceway Park, Maxtyn Pavlock (age 6-9), Colten Farley (10-12), and Karmin Nelson (13-17) outlasted their competition to claim Wallys.
Pavlock, near lane, had the reaction-time edge in the 6-9 age-group final and used the advantage to best Blane Carrell, 12.177 (12.05 dial) to 14.050 (14.00).
Farley, far lane, got the automatic nod in the 10-12 class title round when Holden Pavlock red-lighted. Farley posted an 8.887 (8.90) on his way to the win.
A foul start also determined the outcome in the 13-17 bracket final. This time, Addysan Rogers, far lane, left the starting line early, turning the win light on in Nelson’s lane. Nelson ran a 7.903 (7.92) victory lap.
