Daniel O’Connor outlasted the field at the NHRA Summit Racing National Shootout at the Flav-R-Pac NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways in Seattle, Wash.

The 13-year-old from Morinville Alta., got the automatic nod in the final when Cole Dickhoff, far lane, red-lighted. O’Connor cut a .007 light and ran a 7.889 (7.90 dial) on his victory pass.

The NHRA Summit Racing National Shootouts will be contested at select NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series events throughout the 2022 season. Each Shootout will feature an eight-car field, and the final round from each Shootout will be included in the event’s national broadcast on FOX and FOX Sports 1.
