The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Numidia Dragway in Numidia, Pa., proved to be a very good one for the Stack family, which recorded two wins and a runner-up finish. Evan Stack (age 6-9) and James Stack Jr. (10-12) outlasted the fields in their respective age groups to win Wallys, and Eli Stack made it the 6-9 age-group final before coming up just short against his brother. Tyler DePascale was also victorious, winning the 13-17 bracket.
In the 6-9 class final, Evan Stack, near lane, got off the starting line first and stayed in front all the way downtrack, defeating brother Eli on a 12.226 (12.19 dial) to 12.019 (11.94) count.
James Stack Jr., near lane, turned a reaction-time advantage of nearly six-hundredths into an 8.965 (8.92) to 9.013 (9.01) holeshot win against Landen Kennedy in the 10-12 bracket title round.
Emma Aragona, far lane, left the starting line first in the 13-17 age-group final, but DePascale was able to drive around her and win, 8.094 (8.07) to 7.959 (7.92).
