Hannah Sheppard (age 6-9), Zack Gale (10-12), and Robert Fortuna (13-17) were the big winners during the Division 1 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Virginia Motorsports Park in Richmond, Va.

In the 6-9 final, Kole Paone, far lane, had the reaction-time edge, but he carried too much momentum and broke out with a 12.217 (12.25 dial). That opened the door for Sheppard, who won with a 12.016 (11.97).

Gale, near lane, got the automatic nod in the 10-12 title round when Kaden Paone red-lighted. Gale celebrated with an 8.995 (8.98) victory pass.

Fortuna, near lane, turned a .012 to .072 lead at the Tree into a 7.931 (7.94) to 7.882 (7.90) win against Lavar Lewis Jr. in the 13-17 final.
