Wied, Pfohl, Davis, Clark, Hale, Spires Victorious During Division 3 Jr. Championships

Carson Wied (age 6-9), James Pfohl (10-12), Hunter Davis (13-17), Camden Clark (6-9 Race of Champions), Cohen Hale (10-12 Race of Champions), and Tanner Spires (13-17 Race of Champions) were the big winners during the Division 3 Jr. Championships event at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.


Wied, far lane, got off the starting line first in the 6-9 class final and never looked back, defeating Natalie Angell, 12.027 to 12.306.


Pfohl, near lane, cut a near-perfect .005 light then ran a 9.015 to turn on the win light in the 10-12 title round against Cade Rienschield, who finished second with a 9.204.


Davis, far lane, turned a .036 to .064 lead at the Tree into a 8.010 to 7.943 victory over Patrick Wease in the 13-17 age-group final.


Clark, far lane, won a close battle with Kainen Morgan to claim the 6-9 Race of Champions title, winning on an 11.993 to 11.988 count.


Hale, near lane, denied Pfohl a clean sweep of the 10-12 class when he bested the Pfohl in the Race of Champions final, 9.017 to 9.032.


Spires, far lane, got the automatic nod in the 13-17 Race of Champions final when Caleb Burns red-lighted. Spires celebrated with a 7.920 victory lap.
