Madison Boyd (age 6-9), JJ Schonberger (10-12), and Daniel Spotts (13-17) outlasted the fields in their respective age groups to earn Wallys during the Division 1 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Maple Grove Raceway.

In the 6-9 final, Aleiya DePascale, far lane, got off the starting line first, but she carried too much momentum on the top end and broke out with a 14.497 (14.75 dial). That opened the door for Boyd, who won with a 12.394 (12.25).

Schonberger, near lane, had the better reaction time and ran closer to the dial to defeat Emily Stalba, 9.026 (8.96) to 9.007 (8.94), in the 10-12 title round.

Both Spotts, near lane, and Tyler DePascale left the starting line early in the 13-17 final, but DePascale left first, turning the win light on in Spotts’ lane. Spotts celebrated with a 7.910 (7.90) victory pass.
