Jr. Dragsters competed as part of the Division 6 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Yellowstone Drag Strip in Acton, Mont. Jason McCary (Thunder) and Cort Huet (Lightning) outlasted the fields in their respective categories to claim Wallys.

After getting a slight jump at the Tree, McCary, far lane, ran closer to his dial to turn on the win light against Chase McHenry in the Thunder final, 12.417 (12.10 dial) to 14.343 (13.98).

Huet, near lane, had the better reaction time in the Lightning final, and he used the advantage to defeat Keylee Wolff on a holeshot, 7.957 (7.94) to 9.364 (9.36).
