Aaron Kennedy (age 6-9), Bladen Core (10-12), and Jace Clark (13-17) were the big winners during the final Division 2 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event of 2020, at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.
Kennedy, near lane, got off the starting line first then ran right on his 11.90 dial to turn on the win light in the 6-9 age-group final against Tyler Nunez, who finished second with an 11.989 (11.90 dial).
A starting-line advantage of more than a tenth helped lift Core, far lane, to victory in the 10-12 age bracket. Core eased his car to a 9.080 (8.96) to defeat Ava Badgett, who finished with an 8.973 (8.90).
Clark, near lane, was better on the Tree in the 13-17 class title round, and he turned the advantage into a 7.952 (7.90) to 7.892 (7.90) win against Madison Wilson.
