Lopez doubles, eight others score during Division 7 Series finale at Irwindale

Myka Lopez made it a clean sweep of the Jr. Comp category during the Pacific Division Jr. Championship Series finale at Irwindale Dragstrip. Lopez shared the winner's circle with eight different drivers during the weekend.

Kade Renoll (age 6-9), Tripp Breitkreitz (10-12), Sydney Kopping (13-14), and Cade Poe (15-17) were victorious on Saturday.

Reese Poe (6-9), Cy Mitchell (10-12), Cole Rouse (13-14) and Hailey Pierce (15-17) earned trophies alongside Lopez on Sunday.

The Irwindale races were the final two events in the 10-race Jr. Championship Series. Incoming leaders Jacelyn Gonzaga (6-9), Macie Gordon (10-12), Braiden Chesleigh (13-14), and Derrick Hegwood (Jr. Comp) held on to win the titles in their respective categories. Bolstered by his Saturday win, Cade Poe was able to move to the top of the 15-17 age group and earn his first Division 7 championship.

10-12 final
Tripp Breitkreitz, near lane, took home Saturday's 10-12 class Wally when he outmaneuvered Dylan Hegwood at the stripe in the final.

13-14 final
Sydney Kopping, far lane, cut a near-perfect .002 light in Saturday's 13-14 final and turned the advantage into victory over Cole Rouse.

15-17 final
Cade Poe, near lane, ran right on his 7.90 target to turn on the win light against Damon Bustamante in Saturday's 15-17 final.

Jr. Comp final
Myka Lopez, far lane, picked up the first of his two Jr. Comp wins when Leigha Miller went red in Saturday's final round.

After watching brother Cade win on Saturday, Reese Poe, far lane, added another Wally to the family mantle when she bested Teegan White in Sunday's 6-9 age-group final.

10-12 final
Cy Mitchell, near lane, won the double-breakout 10-12 final against Haylee Ramos to earn that class' Wally on Sunday.

13-14 final
After coming up short in the 13-14 class final on Saturday, Cole Rouse, near lane, was able to go the distance on Sunday, defeating Tyler Smith for the trophy.

15-17 final
Hailey Pierce, far lane, ran a dead-on 7.900 to turn on the win light against Michael Gidcumb in Sunday's 15-17 final round.

Jr. Comp final
Myka Lopez, far lane, completed the weekend sweep of Jr. Comp when he bested 2017 class champ Derrick Hegwood in Sunday's final.
