Ten racers take home Wallys during Division 7 Series doubleheader at Barona

The 2017 Pacific Division Jr. Championship Series completed its penultimate event in mid-August at Barona 1/8-Mile Drag Strip, and 10 different racers visited the winner's circle over the two days of competition.

On Saturday, Reese Poe (age 6-9), Macie Gordon (10-12), Braiden Chesleigh (13-14), Hannah Cook (15-17), and Derrick Hegwood (Jr. Comp) outlasted the competition to win the trophy in their respective classes. Sunday winners were Kade Renoll (6-9), Dylan Hegwood (10-12), Cody Garceau (13-14), Savannah Coates (15-17), and Joey Petrone (Jr. Comp).

The Barona racers were the seventh and eighth in the 10-race series that will determine the 2017 Division 7 Jr. Dragster champions. There series wraps up Sept. 30-Oct. 1 at Irwindale Dragstrip. Division 7 also have another chance at Wallys during the Division 7 Jr. Finals event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Jr. Finals event takes place Sept. 16-17.
