Tyler DePascale (age 6-9) and Cory Ream (13-14) took home division titles for the second straight year during the Division 1 Jr. Championships at Numidia Dragway. DePascale, who earned the 8-9 title last year, outlasted 2015 and 2016 6-7 champ Harley Ely to earn his second division title. Ream, the 2016 12-13 class winner, stopped 2017 NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals presented by Huddleston Peformance champ Richie Fluck to claim top honors in the 13-14 class this year.
Joining DePascale and Ream in the winner's circle were Jaiman Dietz (10-12), Allison Lloyd (15-17), Jonathan Northop (Race of Champions), and Nicholas Bealer (Jr. Street). Maple Grove Raceway earned teh team title, tallying 17 points. Virginia Motorsports Park was second with 14 points, followed by Numidia Dragway (12), Mason-Dixon Dragway (10), and Lebanon Valley Dragway (9).

Jaiman Dietz, near lane, turned a reaction-time advantage of more than a tenth into victory over Brody Harp in the 10-12 title round.
Cory Ream, far lane, earned his second straight Division 1 championship when he bested Richie Fluck in the 13-14 final.
Allison Lloyd, near lane, had the better reaction time and ran closer to her dial to turn on the win light against Shawn Nichols in the 15-17 age-group final round.
Jonathan Northrop, far lane, took home the Race of Champions trophy, earning it when Melissa Wilson went red in the money round.
Nicholas Bealer, near lane, got the automatic win in the Jr. Street final when Taylor Zajac fouled out.
