Each season, racers from throughout the western United States and Canada take their shot at Wallys and a share of prize money during the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Western Conference Finals. The event is open to racers in Divisions 5, 6, and 7, and select tracks in Division 4. Each NHRA member track may send up to three teams of 10 racers to the event. The 2013 Western Conference Finals will take place June 27-29 at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colo.
The event awards a Wally and $2,500 to the winner in each of the eight age categories —
8-9, 10, 11,12, 13, 14, 15, 16-17 — and a Wally to each member of the winning team.
Victors at the 2012 event were Hayley Cline (8-9), Cade Poe (10), Ashleigh Joy (11), Tristan Marti (12), Boyd Eickmann (13), Cody Webber (14), Nash Keen (15), Zac Bogner (16-17), and Thunder Valley Raceway Park (Team).
